ONV 0110-MCX-S2 10 To 100 Mbps 3 Port Single Mode Dual Fiber Media Converter is a 10/100 Mbps 3-port single-mode dual fiber media converter. It is used to convert electrical signals from twisted-pair Ethernet cables to optical signals from fiber optic cables, and vice versa. This allows for the extension of Ethernet networks over long distances, as fiber optic cables can carry data much further than twisted-pair cables.
The ONV 0110-MCX-S2 10 To 100 Mbps 3 Port Single Mode Dual Fiber Media Converter has three RJ-45 ports and one SC fiber port. The RJ-45 ports are used to connect twisted-pair Ethernet cables, while the SC fiber port is used to connect fiber optic cables. The media converter supports both 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps data rates, and it can negotiate full-duplex or half-duplex operation automatically.
